The Acadian Blues

This has been an exciting summer for our Acadia Community (www.AcadiaSC.com). Last Saturday we enjoyed not one, but two musical events: an all-day Blues Festival at our Pavilion, and a night of Bluegrass at our RiverHouse. Big thanks to the Blues Festival organizer, Tim DeLisle (www.TreelineMusic.com), and to the many exceptional bands he arranged. The Festival vendors provided a smorgasbord of great food, like the BBQ ribs & Cajun creole.

The Bluegrass Concert was hosted by Greenville’s Emrys Foundation (www.Emrys.org), and catered by the ever-excellent Pomegranate restaurant (www.pomegranateonmain.com). Acadia’s Pavilion and RiverHouse prove to be popular venues for many occasions; we celebrated three weddings, two corporate retreats, and a passel of private parties and cookouts here this summer.

As always, our Acadia PoolHouse & Pool brought Acadia families welcome respite from the summer sun, and served as our base of operations for birthdays, neighborhood cookouts, and workout enthusiasts in our Acadia KettleBell Club. The advent of autumn means that the Pool will be covered until next May 15th, but the PoolHouse gym and aerobics hall are open year- round, as is the lounge and lending library.

Fortunately, autumn in Acadia has its own colorful charms, at least until said charms fall off the trees and force us to wield rakes and leaf blowers.

Besides this summer’s excitement of music festivals, weddings and pool parties, there has also been a great deal of construction of new homes and luxury townhomes in Acadia. The Cassell’s are building their second home in Acadia on Keller’s Gate, and we started six new Townhomes in June. Two are just finished, and already we have new neighbors moving in, so please welcome the Craigs and the Shives. Acadia’s Model & Sales Office has relocated to 116 Father’s Dr., so come see the latest look and finishes of Acadia’s townhomes. Several townhomes have sold already, but we are ready to build more to suit you, so please visit us soon at Acadia, or on the web at AcadiaSC.com. Be sure to ask about our new Acadia Cottages, a right -size single-family home in the true Arts & Crafts style.

Thank you, from all of us here in the Acadia Community in Greenville County, South Carolina.
